The Airport Gateway Motor Lodge is a convenient, trouble free, all inclusive conference and event venue.

Conveniently located just 4 minutes from Christchurch International Airport. We are within easy walking distance of the recent business park developments on Sir William Pickering Drive, and no more than 15 minutes by car to all of the many business hubs that have developed.

Full catering is available with a variety of delicious hot and cold options to choose from, and business class accommodation is available for those guests who wish to stay either before or after their meeting. Please note, we do not allow catering or alcohol to be brought in from off site to our function rooms.

We have onsite parking for any sized event, with a nice outside area to break out from the Pohutakawa Room or our onsite restaurant and bar.


Pohutakawa Room

The Pohutakawa room has wonderful natural lighting with one wall of windows, and double doors leading out to our courtyard garden.

Two large white boards, a roof mounted 1080i data projector with HDMI & VGA connections, and in room speakers offer excellent presentation ability.

Located close to all facilities, the Pohutakawa room is a spacious, easily accessible, and largely modifiable event space.

We are happy to accept courier items before events and provide after hours access to setup / put down – with prior agreement

The room is 10m x 7m. We can set the room up in a number of ways:

• Theatre style – up to 50 Pax
• Board room style – up to 30 Pax
• U shape with head table – up to 25 Pax
• Round tables – up to 40 Pax
• Cabaret with round tables – up to 25 Pax

Meeting Room

The Meeting Room is a smaller space that is suitable for seated events of up to four people. Great natural lighting, efficient heating, and proximity to all facilities on site make this an excellent choice for any small group meeting. Our reception staff are happy to meet your guests on arrival and give them directions as requested.

This room has a VGA projector and white board.

The room size is 3.5m square and has a fixed setup of a round table with four chairs.
